Albanians and KFOR responsible for the Serb and Romany exodus

KFOR incapable of preventing exodus
Skoplje, September 29th (Tanjug) - KFOR proved to be absolutely incapable of preventing ethnic cleansing of non-Albanian population in Kosmet, reports the Macedonian daily 'Jutarnji Vesnik' in today's commentary.

The international peacekeeping forces under the UN patronage cannot guarantee safety of the Serbs, Romanies and other non-Albanians, adds the daily.

There is a kind of designed apartheid in Kosmet, writes the daily, and Albanians and KFOR are the ones responsible for the Serb and Romany exodus. Now it is obvious that KFOR itself provided an ethnically clean territory for the Albanians.

'Jutarnji Vesnik' reminds that the UN Security Council Resolution 1244 obligates KFOR to protect also the non-Albanian population of the province, and in case it comes into danger like now, the Mission should react appropriately.

The daily also stresses the self-appointed Albanian leader Hashim Tachi's hypocrisy - he swore before the international institutions on multiethnic Kosovo and simultaneously supported the policy of ethnic cleansing.

The Albanians, allegedly transforming the terrorist KLA into some kind of undefined civil structure, took advantage of the international community's favor and using threats and violence expelled part of the non-Albanian population from the province, reads the daily.
