Photo-printed copy of "Gospel according to Miroslav" published

Belgrade, February 9 - The first, zero copy of photo-printed issue of "Gospel according to Miroslav", one of the most beautiful manuscript books of the world, written in 12th century, was presented at a press conference.

In a short time, additional 300 copies will be published. First 30, numbered copies will be given to the Ministry of Culture, which will distribute them to the most eminent cultural institutions in Republic of Serbia.

Signing of the agreement between the Ministry of Culture with both Yugoslav Official Register and Publishing community "Dosije" on production of photo-printed issue of "Gospel according to Miroslav" is now one of the most important activities of the Ministry of Culture, said Minister Zeljko Simic.

Serbian Academy of Science and Art, National Library of Serbia, National Museum and Museum of Serbian Orthodox Church participated in this magnificent project.

The original of the manuscript of "Gospel according to Miroslav", which is one of the most important Serbian cultural welfare, was preserved last year in National Library of Serbia, and according to the experts who worked on the project, its existence for the next 800 years is achieved.
