Kragujevac, February 9 - The statuettes of "Joakim Vujic", award for highest artistic achievements and contribution to the theater art in the last year, were given to actress Olivera Markovic and writer, academician Ljubomir Simonovic.

The award will be given on Day of Theatre - February 15 - on the occasion of 165 years of establishment of the theatre. The play "Murlin Murlo" by Russian writer Nikolai Koliada, directed by Janja Canje, will be performed.

This award, one of the most important theatre awards in Serbia, was established in 1985, on the half-century anniversary of theatre in Kragujevac.

The winners of this prize in last 15 years were many eminent artists and institutions like Mija Aleksic, Ljuba Tadic, Mira Stupica, Milos Zutic, Branislav Ciga Jerinic, Branko Plesa, Svetlana Ceca Bojkovic, Bata Stojkovic, Ruzica Sokic, Jovan Cirilov, National Theatre from Belgrade, Sterija theatre from Novi Sad and others.
