NATO heads must answer for the crimes in Yugoslavia

Bonn, February 12th (Tanjug) - The recently published book "The Truth about NATO's War on Yugoslavia" is a result of a number of so-called hearings held in Europe and the United States within an investigation to file charges of war crimes against NATO's leading officials before the Hague international tribunal, Berlin politicologist Wolfgang Richter told the Berlin daily Neues Deutschland on Saturday.

Charges have already been filed, but there will be more such "hearings", Richter said, first in Hamburg on April 16th, then a European tribunal on NATO crimes will be held in Berlin on June 2-3, and a similar tribunal will then be held in the United States a week later.

"These tribunals will be held according to valid international law. Indictments will be raised there against those responsible for NATO crimes in the war against Yugoslavia", he said.

With this, the international legal experts and peace fighters, Prof. Richter being one of them, wish to sustain pressure on the Alliance, because the western public, i.e. media, almost no longer deals with such unpleasant issues as the last year's aggression on FR Yugoslavia is.
