Belgrade, February 20th (MINF) - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister professor Dr. Vojislav Seselj received Abdel Ben Yal, Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister and Mohamed Koailed, Libyan embassy charge d'affaires in Belgrade.

FR Yugoslavia and Serbia have traditionally good, friendly and close relation with Arabian countries, among which a significant place belongs to Libya, said Dr. Seselj talking to the guests.

He pointed out that FR Yugoslavia and Republic of Serbia particularly appreciate Libya and its president's clear attitude during the NATO aggression on Yugoslavia, which they have openly condemned. Libya and its president Moamer El Gadafi have a significant place in the international relations because of the clear foreign policy, directed to struggle against the US totalitarianism and creators of the new world order.

Serbian government supports further improvement of thus far traditionally good and friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, not only in the field of politics, but also economy, military and culture, since there are actual opportunities.

Mr. Abdel Ben Yal said that Libya and Fr Yugoslavia have to cooperate in order to survive as independent and free countries, for which they need a joint position regarding various issues, first of all in the international relations.
